The Ministry of Community and Social Services implemented Quality Measures Regulation 299-10 in 2010 to ensure compliance with the Services and Supports to Promote Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act (SSPSIPDDA) 2008.

Annual Compliance audits are conducted with each agency in six different categories: Policy and Procedure, Board Records, Staff and Volunteer Records, Individual (client) Records, Records and Documentation and Site Inspections.

Since 2010, directives focused on Behaviour Supports and Family Home Providers have been added to the original Compliance review items in response to composite results from previous compliance audits of agencies across the province and, more recently, the 2016 Ombudsman’s report. -
